"That was my top choice all along," said Salahuddin. "When I was at camp I got to work with the coaches and coach Tommy O'Brien offered me a scholarship in his office. I was real excited and so was my dad who likes State a whole lot.
"The rest of my family felt good about it too, and we talked about it and felt like it was the best decision for me so I committed today."
Salahuddin, who played strong safety for Jack Britt in his first year as a starter, ended the 2010 season with 79 tackles, three sacks, an interception, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble. He was being recruited to play outside linebacker for the Wolfpack. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder has been timed at 4.62 in the 40-yard dash.
He maintains a 3.6 GPA and projects to be a full academic qualifier.
Pack Pride will have more on Salahuddin's decision in the near future so stay tuned!
