DT Deylan Buntyn may be a name that NC State fans remember from his time starring at Havelock High School back in 2008. While the Wolfpack showed heavy interest in him at the time, Buntyn needed to shore up his academics and has spent the past couple of seasons at New Mexico Military Institute.
Now at 6-4, 317 pounds, Buntyn has become a fixture along the New Mexico defensive front and with his grades now in good shape, got an offer from NC State on Monday.
"Coach Petercuskie offered me today and I committed," Buntyn told Pack Pride. "They had been recruiting me a lot in high school but they knew I had to work on my grades.
"I was really excited when I got the offer because it was just a dream come true. Now my family won't have to fly back and forth to see me play. NC State is just a great school and I can wait to get there."
Buntyn will enroll at NC State in January and play nose tackle for NC State. Stay tuned as Pack Pride will have much more on the Wolfpack's latest commitment.
