Hamilton, Ohio offensive lineman Adam Pankey has a dozen offers and two official visits in mind.
While Pankey hasn't set any dates for official visits yet he's already sure of two he wants to take.
"I think I'm probably going to try to go to NC State and get up to Wisconsin. Those are probably my only two definites right now," Pankey said in a recent interview with Pack Pride.
NC State has offered the 6-5, 300-pound lineman while the Badgers have not yet. That said, Wisconsin has shown major interest and Pankey is believed to be in a good position with the Big Ten school. Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Pittsburgh and West Virginia are just some of the other schools that have offered Pankey.
The versatile lineman, who can play both guard and tackle, attended camps at Ohio State and Wisconsin earlier this summer but hasn't been on any unofficial visits since those events.
"I think I performed very well at Ohio State's camp and I performed well at the Wisconsin camp," he said. "The kids from Ohio and Michigan have a law that says you can't wear shoulder pads so I couldn't do as much (as some other recruits), though."
While Pankey is anxious to visit NC State and Wisconsin he also noted that he hasn't narrowed his list at all and is open to any schools that might jump into the fray. That said, the Pack has to like their chances at this point.
"I really liked the atmosphere down there at NC State on game day," he noted. "I went on an unofficial visit to their game against Wake Forest last year, and I really enjoyed it a lot. There are a lot of great people down there. The people treat you well and it seemed like a great place.
"I've been talking to their coaches maybe every other week. They're just letting me know that they're very interested. They know I'm not in a rush to make any moves so they're being patient with me on that."
Pankey said his official visits will probably be to games this fall and that could extend all the way into the winter, so don't expect a decision right away.
Pankey is rated a three-star prospect by Scout.com.
