NOTE: Listed are walk-ons who were not on the 2010 roster.

No. 11 Freshman QB Garrett Leatham...6-4, 210 pounds...Apex (NC) Middle Creek High School

By the time he finished his high school career, Leatham was considered to be one of the top high school passers in the state. In three years he would throw for 9,488 yards, good enough for fifth best in state history.
As a senior, Leatham threw for 3,385 yards and 24 touchdowns while leading the Mustangs to the third round of the playoffs. During his high school career he boasted a 27-13 record as a starter.

In addition to NC State, Leatham also received recruiting interest from Wake Forest and East Carolina.

No. 24 Freshman DB Josh Stanley...6-0, 190 pounds...Raleigh (NC) Leesville Road High School

Stanley was a superb player for Leesville, finishing the past year with 1,688 yards 18 touchdowns through the air while completing 90 of 155 passes. He also rushed for an impressive 698 yards and an additional five scores.

On defense Stanley accounted for 25 tackles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. As a senior he earned all-conference and all-area honors. Originally he was expected to walk on at Elon but matriculated to NC State, instead.

No. 48 Freshman LB Dillon Burdette...6-2, 230 pounds...Harrisburg (NC) Hickory Ridge High School

Burdette was a standout for Hickory Ridge.  As a junior, he tallied 87 tackles, 32 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks en route to all-conference and all-county honors.

In 2010, Burdette led his team with 122 tackles, four sacks, four interceptions and five fumble recoveries. He was also the team's punter and averaged 30.39 yards on 49 punts with a long of 52 yards. As a senior, Burdette was named all-county and all-conference for the second consecutive year.

During his senior year, Burdette reported offers from Army and Georgetown in addition to interest from UNC, Clemson, Wake Forest, Duke and others.

No. 66 Freshman OL Taylor Griswold...6-1, 290 pounds...Zebulon (NC) East Wake High School

Griswold joins NC State after a solid career at East Wake. He was recognized as one of the team's top players in 2010 and in addition to his exploits on the gridiron, is also known as a standout baseball player- earning all-conference honors as a senior. He has also been recognized as an honors student.

No. 58 Freshman OL Evan Bumgarner...6-4, 300 pounds...Lenoir (NC) South Caldwell High School

No. 41 Sophomore DB Milton Hall...5-9, 181 pounds...Burlington (NC) Williams High School

No. 28 Sophomore WR Rodney Pettus...6-1, 180 pounds...Charlotte (NC) Mallard Creek High School

A two-year starter at Mallard Creek, Pettus also ran track and field.

No. 60 Sophomore OL Garrison Pollock...6-0, 255 pounds...Winston-Salem (NC) Forsyth Country Day

No. 33 Junior DB Roderick Cox...6-0, 195 pounds...New Bern (NC) West Craven High School

Cox tallied 57 tackles and six interceptions as a senior for West Craven High School.

No. 27 Junior WR Justin Dupree...5-8, 170 pounds...Pinetops (NC) SW Edgecombe High School

A member of the National Honor Society, Dupree played football, basketball, and ran track for SW Edgecombe.

As a senior he was an all-conference selection at linebacker.

No. 68 Junior DE Carl Escriva...6-4, 240 pounds...Macedon (NY) Cirillo High School

No. 66 Junior DE James Swindell...6-4, 244 pounds...High Point (NC) SW Guilford High School

No. 26 Junior LB J.T. Zdanek...6-0, 220 pounds...Chocowinity (NC) Clover Hill High School

Spent a prep season at Milford Academy after a strong career for Clover Hill High School.

No. 50 Senior LB Calvin Forbes...6-1, 235 pounds...Mastic Beach (NY) William Floyd High School

Listed as a transfer from Coastal Carolina, Forbes was recruited to play defensive end by CC.

He lettered three last years at William Floyd and served as a captain for the Colonials his senior year, helping the squad to a 33-0 mark during that period.
