Duke, UNC, N.C. State Oppose Expansion

Tony Barnhart of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution writes that Duke, UNC, and NC State oppose expansion and the ACC won't add a team unless one of those schools approves.

"Duke, North Carolina and North Carolina State oppose ACC expansion, people familiar with the discussions say, and the league won't add a team unless at least one of those schools approves."

If the conference can gain 7 "yes" votes, an offer will likely be extended to Miami. Officials at the school have hinted that if an offer is extended to join the ACC, the Hurricanes will follow.

Boston College and Syracuse could join the Hurricanes in the ACC if they make the move.
