"I've been talking to my dad about it for a little bit, and he said if I really wanted to take it I should," said Bivins. "I've been thinking about taking the visit a lot, so I called and asked if I could set it up. I think the NC State coaches actually want me to come real bad so we're excited about it."
What will Bivins be looking for on his official visit?
"I've never been to North Carolina, and I feel like I'm going to go up there and have a great experience," he stated. "I wanted to have as much fun as possible, but I know it is also a business trip. I need to see if they have the criteria I am looking for in a college."
He is being recruited by two of the Wolfpack's assistant coaches.
"Coach Sands and coach Reed are recruiting me," he said. "They are real cool guys. They both came down at one point to watch me and that showed how much they want me... to have two coaches come from same school.
"I do like that coach Reed would also be my position coach if I chose to go there. I believe I could learn a lot from him."
Bivins, who committed to South Florida in June over multiple scholarship offers, says he will be visiting NC State, Arkansas, and South Florida, "for sure right now."
While he admits that he is still committed to South Florida, Bivins says the focus is on finding the right fit.
"That's still the case, I'm still committed, but I haven't really done too much with recruiting right now," he said. "I'm taking these visits so I can find out more about them all, but I don't really want to talk too much about the recruiting.
"I want to see how strong the academics are at the school and how the coaches coach their players. I'm also looking for a great environment and atmosphere."
