ACC presidents Vote to Invite Miami, Syracuse, BC

The Atlantic Coast Conference has reached a decision on which teams they are targeting for expanding the league. The Miami Hurricanes, Syracuse Orangemen, and Boston College Eagles have made the cut.

ESPN: ACC presidents vote to invite Miami, Syracuse, BC

The ACC presidents voted in a conference call to begin formal discussions with Miami, Syracuse and Boston College.

The expansion, which could take effect for the 2004-05 academic year, would make it a 12-team superconference with a football championship game.
