Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the Pack's loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium.

Mike Glennon

"Our run game did a great job. Our line did a great job and the backs ran really hard. It kind of shows that when we have a run game it helps our offense out a lot."

"We did a good job in the second quarter, got some momentum going into the half."

"With a team like Georgia Tech, they are the number one offense in the country, we figured we'd have to put a lot of points on the board. Unfortunately we didn't put up enough points."

"They ran really hard but I think you have to give credit to the offensive line also. They were physical up front."

James Washington

"Take it one play at a time – you can't rush it. Every play adds up – one first down adds to another one. We just have to keep moving the ball and trying to score. Once we get closer we have to keep forcing it down their throat."

"They play a 3-4, they don't really penetrate in the backfield much. We were able to get leverage and open up some seams – we were able to run very effectively."

"As long as we stay the course we will be able to move the ball and score points."

Audie Cole

"[Sweezy] is a tough player, everyone knows it. He brings a lot of enthusiasm, he works hard. He gets the right assignments - that's good to have."

"They were really hurting us on the same play - they kept running this misdirection play and they were gashing us on it. We figured that out and we fixed it on the sideline."

J.R. Sweezy

"We played Wolfpack football for two and a half quarters and that's the first time we've done that this year. We just have to continue to grow on it to get where we want to be."

"We knew we could beat those guys and it just didn't fall our way this day."

"It's frustrating, and that's why we are working on playing more consistent Wolfpack football like we want to play."
