White has taken several unofficial visits to programs like NC State, Maryland, Cincinnati, and Wake Forest among others, and he has already taken official visits to Kansas, West Virginia, and Louisville.
This past weekend he was in Kentucky for his official to Louisville.
"The visit to Louisville went real well," said White. "I like the staff. I like their system and facilities. It was a good trip."
He also enjoyed his trip to West Virginia. Most analysts consider the Mountaineers to be a major player in White's recruitment.
"I've got a very good releationship with coach Harrison and coach Huggins at West Virginia," said White. "I also keep in contact with a lot of their players. West Virginia has been on me since early in the summer and they've maintained contact every day since. I like that about them."
White has a trip remaining to Texas (October 21) and he could be taking another visit this weekend.
"My dad has been in contact with the NC State coaches and he has kind of been coordinating the visit with them... setting it up," said White. "It's not 100% set in stone, but it would be this weekend if I take the trip to NC State."
What does White like about the Wolfpack?
"They've always been recruiting me real hard," he said. "Coach Moxley has done a great job of recruiting me, and I've kept in constant contact with them. i know they have a couple of other guys that are high on their board too, but that is how recruiting works. I understand the situation.
"I'm just kind of trying to narrow the list down the best I can. The schools I've visited aren't necessary a top five, but it just feels like those all have good situations. I'm looking for a good feel of the campus. Even though I'm not playing or being in class, I want to feel what it would be like to be a player there and how I would fit in."
White admitted that he will be considering several factors when the time comes to make a decision, but one sticks out.
"If I had to pick one quality I'm looking for it would be playing time," he said. "I would like the opportunity to play 18-plus minutes or start right away and develop the quickest that I can. Those are big things for me."
Rated the No. 52 recruit in the 2012 class, White obviously has options. He plans on signing in the fall period, but doesn't have a set timetable to give a commitment.
"I'm taking it one day at a time."
