RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State head coach Mark Gottfried met with the media following the Wolfpack's win over Campbell on Thursday night.

"I think that's a team that's going to win a lot of games. They were very good offensively and at times we weren't very good defensively. At times we were pretty good defensively and still couldn't stop them. They impressed me, without a doubt."

"We got some defensive stops at important parts of the game. I thought Lorenzo tonight was sensational – he was really good. He penetrated, he got to the rim, he controlled tempo for us. Richard on the backboard is going to get it with two hands in traffic I like that a lot."

"We are not a great team, we know that. But we are doing some things well that we can build on."

"I thought the [referees] did a really good job tonight. I'm not saying they got every call right but I thought they really controlled a game that was a heated game. You had two teams that really battled hard, it was a great environment."

"A lot of teams will switch their defenses depending upon whether Scott Wood is in the game. If he goes out they go zone real quick if he's back in there they go man. We are getting used to that – a lot of teams have done that to us."

"I think in the last three or four [games] we are starting to become better."

"We are just now figuring out how we need to play. It's taken us a little while and we've done it through a really tough schedule – which has probably made us evaluate ourselves better. So it forces us to really learn. We are playing against good teams and we are learning ourselves better now and how we really need to play."

"This team right here [Campbell] is gonna win a lot of games because they can score it – they can score the ball. They've done it to everybody. And I don't know in the first half if our guys were truly listening but by halftime they believed they were in for a tough night."

"It's unbelievable here – I can't get over it. Our fans are phenomenal. I walked out there before game time and its impressive – it makes me feel great."
