Class of 2004: Xavier Lee

When it comes to quarterbacks, the state of Florida has three of the nation's best this year in Xavier Lee, Cornelius Ingram, and Drew Weatherford. <p> Some say that Xavier Lee could be the best talent in the group.

"Yea, I think I turned some heads at the NIKE Camp," Xavier told StateFans. "I ran a 4.5 in the 40 and I did pretty good in all the quarterback drills that they put us through."

Last season at Daytona Beach (FL) Seabreeze, Xavier Lee did it all, passing for over 3000 yards and 33 Touchdowns while rushing for another 16 scores. He thinks next season will be even better.

"I've worked on a few things this spring and I think next year's going to be good for me. I'm going to a few team camps in Alabama and Georgia, and there I should get some more practice in too."

Labeled one of the nation's premier quarterbacks, it's obvious that colleges are all over Lee. However, he's being mum about his list at the moment.

Previously, Xavier had told TheInsiders that he favored NC State and Florida State. Is that still the case?

"No, alot of things have changed, but I'm not saying what."

With what looks like a drawn-out recruitment, should we expect a late decision from Lee?

"Yes, I think I am going to be a signing day decision. I want to choose when I'm comfortable and just find the best situation for me."
