Recruiting Scene: Knox arrived at NC State way back in July for camp but didn't make it long as he got sick shortly after beginning work outs. However, he was able to get an up close look at the Pack and that likely paved the way for their success with him down the road.

While many thought it unlikely Knox would ever leave South Carolina or the SEC, he surprised quite a few observers when he committed to the Wolfpack back in October.

Although he continued to listen to a few colleges, he stayed committed to NC State.

Why NC State? "It was a nice environment and when I went there, they showed me lots of love. It's close to home and I felt like if I needed to come home, I could come home."

Picked NC State Over: Illinois, Kentucky, Memphis, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Pittsburgh, and Purdue among others.

Scouting Report: "He needs to add some weight but the athletic ability is there and he certainly shows the skills to play the DE position in college. He shows good lateral quickness, and the ability to shed blocks and make plays in run support.

"He has been blessed with a wide wingspan, shows enough strength to be an effective bull rusher, and can split the double-team." Recruiting Analyst Tom Lemming
