Recruiting Scene: While Salahuddin had created some buzz on the spring combine circuit it wasn't until his performance at NC State's football camp that his talent really caught the eye of the Wolfpack coaches.

State quickly offered and Salahuddin wasted no time in committing to the Pack over interest from several schools. He remained loyal to State throughout his senior season and became one of their bigger recruiters as the year wore on.

Why NC State? "That was my top choice all along. When I was at camp I got to work with the coaches and coach Tom O'Brien offered me a scholarship in his office. I was real excited and so was my dad who likes State a whole lot.

"The rest of my family felt good about it too, and we talked about it and felt like it was the best decision for me so I committed today."

Picked NC State Over: Interest From Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest and East Carolina

Scouting Report: "If anyone questioned Salahuddin's ability to play linebacker at a high level, those doubts were put to rest after his performance at the Shrine Bowl. Although somewhat undersized currently, Salahuddin has the frame to add weight but he matches that with impressive speed and instincts. He has a nose for the ball and doesn't mind getting physical.

"While he'll need time to mature and adjust to division one football, Salahuddin has all the tools to grow into a solid contributor down the road." -- Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
