Jalen McDaniel has an offer from the Wolfpack and he attended NC State's junior day earlier this year.
McDaniel also has offers from, North Carolina Wake Forest and East Carolina, and signs seem to indicate other offers might be on the way.
The 6-1, 190-pound receiver maintains that he doesn't have any favorites but he has expressed a lot of interest in the in-state schools, including NC State. So what are his thoughts about the Wolfpack?
"The last time I was at State was for their junior day," he remembered. "It was fun. It was really exciting to be there just hanging out with my class and the top players there. We did the Cardinal Gibbons' Top 25 players in the state thing, and we were just hanging out at a junior day with the players.
"It was mostly for the parents. The players came to tell us how State life was. Then we talked to them individually and by position, just listening to how practices would go and how on-campus life would be. I thought it was very interesting."
McDaniel added that he spoke to O'Brien and some of the assistants for a little while. Nothing groundbreaking was said, but O'Brien wanted to make sure McDaniel was still high on the Pack. So is he?
"I don't have a list or anything and everything's even, but I would probably say it's mostly between State and Carolina," he admitted. "I've been to State multiple times, but I've only been to UNC twice."
Despite an injury-plagued junior season, McDaniel still managed 33 receptions for 529 yards and three touchdowns.
McDaniel Still Interested in the Pack
