Brian Dennison and Ray Brooks Updates

StateFans caught up with the two Wolfpack signees to discuss their qualification status. <P> Both players are terrific prospects who can contribute early to the Wolfpack.

Jacksonville (FL) Running Back Brian Dennison had recently told StateFans that he was awaiting his SAT scores after taking them for the first time. Unfortunately the news is not good for Brian and the Wolfpack.

"Actually, I didn't qualify and I came up just short on my final SAT attempt. I'm most likely going to a Junior College now and it will either be Georgia Military or Kilgore (TX) Junior College."

Dennison would have provided depth at the running back position and could also figure into the slot-back role as well. Now it looks like his arrival to NC State will be on hold for a couple of years.

"I've talked to the State coaches and I'm sure I'll still go there. I'm not looking at anyone else and they actually suggested those two junior colleges to me. I'm going to try and finish junior college in 1 year so I can enroll either in the fall of my second year."

9:15 UPDATE: Brian has confirmed to StateFans that he will be attending Kilgore (TX) Junior College. "I'm going to Kilgore and should be there by mid-July."

Williamsport (PA) Defensive Lineman Raymond Brooks had had told StateFans earlier he'd received his score on the SAT and was fully qualified. However, we decided to reach Brooks again for confirmation and received a statement from his mother.

"Raymond is working out tonight, but I can tell you that he has qualified to go to college. In fact he's moving in July 5th at N.C. State and can't wait to get down there."
