Williams: "I'm Really Excited"

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State defensive end Mario Williams met with the media at today's open practice.

"Every year something changes, and it's a good opportunity to get back and see the coaches again, see the players, and see different faces... see the guys you played with."

"I think the biggest thing that is satisfying is the support from the fans there. It's something I've never been a part of. It's almost like being back in college with the atmosphere they have towards football. I'm excited and anxious to get up there and get it going."

"It went from being really hot to really cold. It will be alright. It's an adjustment, but it's a part of football."

"I can't really put into words how much they meant to me. I'm definitely going to miss it. I wish them the best and hope everything works out."

"From what he did in college, the biggest thing is it's still football. You've got to take it and don't let outside pressure get to you... just keep doing what you've done before."

"I'm really excited. At the same time, with what I did playing the 3-4 it changes up some things. Either way, it's still getting after the quarterback. Being a straight 4-3 defensive end, that's really what it's all about, getting after the quarterback."
