NC State landed its second commitment for the class of 2013 when Rockingham (NC) Richmond County RB Dakwa Nichols pledged to the Wolfpack on Tuesday evening.
"Yes sir, I committed to NC State," said Nichols. "Me and my family talked about it and we felt like it was the best decision for me. Also, they have great academic standards and a great football team and it's close to home. The coaches made me feel at home when I was on the visit so it was just a great fit."
Nichols picked NC State over an offer from Air Force and interest from Duke and Wake Forest.
As a junior, Nichols rushed for close to 1,000 yards and 19 touchdowns. At a recent combine he was measured at 5-9, 177 pounds and recorded a 4.4-second 40-yard dash. He also recorded a 32-inch vertical jump and impressive 3.97-second pro shuttle.
Pack Pride will have much more on Nichols' commitment so stay tuned!
