Charles Receives his Final Scores

StateFans was able to catch up with a relative of Miami (FL) Defensive End Maurice Charles to find out if he's in fact received the necessary test scores to qualify at N.C. State.

"Yes, Maurice has qualified and he's ready to get to Raleigh," his mother told StateFans. "He's not home right now, but from now on all his interviews will be through N.C. State and we are excited for him."

Charles was one of the latter commits to the N.C. State recruiting class, and found out his final scores on Friday.

"Maurice is going up to N.C. State in mid-July. He's just so happy right now that we really feel good for him. Getting his score is what he hoped for and now he's ready to go to college."

Charles projects as a Defensive End on the next level who could in fact grow into a Rush Defensive Tackle. He has tremendous upside and comes from a great high school program.

Previously Maurice told StateFans that he chose N.C. State over Florida because of academics and a chance to play early.
