Postgame PC: NC State-Vanderbilt

RALEIGH, NC -- Elliot Avent, Ryan Wilkins, Trea Turner and Matt Bergquist spoke to the media following the Pack's 6-5 win over Vanderbilt on Sunday night.

Postgame Press Conference

Elliot Avent

"I've never been a part of a team that's this consistent - day one, game to whenever this is. Character goes along with consistency."

"Somewhere along the line they go real tough."

"Proud of Anthony Tzamtzis tonight. He came out really focused."

"For him to go out and find it on the biggest night for him of the year, and obviously for our ball club, shows what he is made of."

"I just go back to the resiliency and toughness of this ball club. They just find ways to get it done."

"Matt Bergquist, I'm more surprised at the first part of the season than I was at tonight. I think he led us in RBIs last year."

Matt Bergquist

"All year they've been trying to get me to go the other way and I guess I finally did it and was successful. I've been batting .200 all year and I just had a really good day - it felt great."

"Just recently I've widened my stance and I think that's helped me out a lot."

Ryan Wilkins

"It's fun. You can't really put it in any other words. Playing in an environment like that - there's nothing better than that. It's something that every kid dreams of growing up."

"This is more stressful than going out there and pitching. I'd rather be out there any day than talking in front of a crowd like this."

Trea Turner

"I knew [the home run] had a chance but I didn't think it was going to go out. I thought it'd go off the wall or he'd catch it on the warning track. But I'm happy it did."
