Pack To Play in 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball team is one of eight programs slated to participate in the 2012 Puerto Rico Tip-Off, November 15-18 in San Juan.

Joining the Pack in the event are Akron, Massachusetts, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Providence, Tennessee and UNC Asheville.

"The Puerto Rico Tip-Off organizers have assembled a quality field," NC State head coach Mark Gottfried said. "Including our program there are five teams in this event that advanced to postseason play this past season, which will make for a great challenge for our players and coaching staff."

The other teams in the Tip-Off field that qualified for postseason this past year were UNC-Asheville, which made the NCAA Tournament field, and NIT participants Akron, Tennessee and UMass, which advanced to the semifinals of the event.

Travel package information for NC State fans that wish to accompany the Wolfpack to Puerto Rico will be available in the coming weeks.
