Patterson Commits!

NC State has landed a verbal commitment from Shelby (NC) Crest linebacker Quinton Patterson. Pack Pride has the latest on his decision.

NC State landed its tenth commitment for the class of 2013 on Thursday when Shelby (NC) Crest linebacker Quinton Patterson pledged to the Pack.

Patterson held an offer from UNC-Charlotte in addition to NC State and had also received recruiting interest from Wake Forest, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Maryland.

On his decision to commit to NC State, Patterson said, "I was comfortable with them on my visit there a couple weeks ago and I just felt like I was at home. I just really love the coaching staff and the environment there."

At 6-0, 215 pounds, Patterson is the Pack's third linebacker commit joining Lake Mary's (FL) Jerod Fernandez and Memphis (TN) University School's Ford Howell. Patterson was recruited as a middle linebacker.

Pack Pride will have more on Patterson's commitment in the near future so stay tuned!
