Kerolin Francois is definitely a sleeper prospect but one that's been claiming an offer from NC State since back in the spring.
The 5-11, 180-pound athlete from Florida said he's got offers from NC State and Jacksonville but he followed that up by saying he hasn't had a ton of contact with the Wolfpack since the offer.
The Pack's defensive coordinator, Mike Archer, stopped by West Palm Beach (FL) and Forest Hill High School during the spring evaluation period. That's when Francois claims he picked up the offer from NC State.
"They've called me twice and I've talked to them a little bit but that's been about it," he said. "I'm actually considering going there. The distance wouldn't matter to me. To be honest I think I want to leave Florida."
Typically when coaches and prospects lose touch with one another that's a sign that circumstances may have changed. In other words Francois will probably need to touch base with the coaches to find out what his exact status is before he tries to commit, if that's his plan.
Francois said he has the ability to play either cornerback or safety in college and that won't be a big factor in his decision.
He also said he hasn't been able to visit any schools yet but he does plan to take some official visits to help him determine what his favorites might be.
Last year, Francois' junior season, he was responsible for 85 tackles.
