Jacksonville (FL) Bartram Trail offensive lineman Tylar Reagan has committed to NC State.
"I'm real excited about my decision," said Reagan. "When I got there for my visit, the coaching staff took me right in and made me feel at home. They made me feel a part of the family the second I got on campus and it felt like a place I could spend the next four or five years of my life there."
The 6-5, 270-pounder has roughly a dozen scholarship offers but has all but narrowed it to Central Florida and NC State.
"They both were about the same," said Reagan. "I just felt more comfortable with NC State."
NC State offensive line coach Jim Bridge also met with Reagan and let him know about the Pack's need at offensive tackle.
"When I talked to Coach Bridge[on my visit] he said he said they're graduating four offensive linemen," said Reagan. "They need two offensive tackles and have got one committed right now. They're hurting real bad at the tackle position.
"Coach Bridge said I'm not guaranteed a spot but he said it doesn't matter if you're a senior or a freshman, if you grasp the position he's going to let you play. I know I can go in there and play as early as possible so that's a big thing that I really like. Plus, they have great facilities and great coaches so it's just a good situation."
Reagan is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 39 offensive guard in the nation by Scout.com. Pack Pride will have more on his decision in the near future!
