NC State could have potentially as many as seven scholarships available for the 2013 recruiting class, and several targets are on Scout.com's updated list of top 100 prospects, which was released today.
The Wolfpack's top target in the 2013 class has to be elite power forward Julius Randle. A five-star recruit, the Plano (TX) standout is ranked No. 3 overall in the class, and he holds offers from NC State, UNC, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, and Texas among others.
State was at most of Randle's games during the evaluation period.
The Wolfpack has also tried to make up ground on five-star point guard Anthony Barber, who is listed as the No. 9 player in the class.
One of the top guards in the country, Barber, who hails from Virginia, is considering NC State, Louisville, Alabama, and Kansas.
NC State remains in evaluation mode with so many scholarships available, and the majority of their targets don't appear to be close to making a decision.
Other notable current and potential NC State targets on Scout.com's Top 100 list include: Sindarius Thornwell (No. 21), Kennedy Meeks (No. 29), Dominic Woodson (No. 38), Moses Kingsley (No. 50), Josh Newkirk (No. 89), Devin Williams (No. 91), and Jarquez Smith (No. 99).
