There were reports in the Sunday New York Times that OSU star running back Maurice Clarett received help passing a class before Ohio State won the national championship. Buckeye athletic director Andy Geiger denied to the Associated Press that the freshman football star received preferential academic treatment. The NCAA is sure to investigate and the result could have an effect on the NC State-Ohio State game.
