The nation's third-best point guard didn't even need to complete his official visit to NC State this weekend before deciding that Raleigh was where he wants to spend his college career.
Hampton (VA) five-star prospect Anthony Barber boasted offers from Kansas, Alabama, Connecticut and Florida State among others but decided NC State was the best fit. Pack Pride talked with him earlier today.
"I went ahead and made the decision to commit because it felt like home," said Barber. "The coaches and the players just made me feel comfortable and the fans are great. I just felt like it was the best place for me."
Scouting Barber, Scout.com wrote, "Barber has the natural ability to be one of the best in the class. He has good size for a point guard and is an excellent athlete. Very few players are faster with the ball and get into the lane with the ease he does. His outside shot does need some work. Known as "Cat", Barber is one of the premier floor leaders going in this class."
Stay tuned as Pack Pride will have much more on head coach Mark Gottfried and NC State's latest commitment, the Wolfpack's first in the 2013 class!
