Joiner was perhaps the lone bright spot, posting over 100 tackles and 7 interceptions from both safety positions. In fact, TheInsiders.com recently named him the nation's #4 Safety prospect and several college programs have taken notice.
"I have offers from NC State, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina, and UCF. All those schools have sent me offers through the mail and because they took the time to send me full scholarships then I should look at them too."
It's obvious that Tony has his eye on the "Big 3," as in Florida State, Miami, and Florida.
"Well my top five would be the three Florida schools, Florida State, Miami, and Florida, followed by NC State and then Auburn. Those are the main ones I'm looking at right now. I just got back from the Florida State camp and I did good up there. I ran a 4.58 and Mickey Andrews told some guys that I was the best Safety prospect at their camp. I just love Mickey Andrews and it would be great playing for him."
When pressed to name just one, Tony tabbed the Seminoles as his leader.
"Right now I like Florida State a little more than Miami because they are showing more interest in me and I'm a big fan of Coach Andrews."
As for the Wolfpack, Defensive Backs Coach Chris Demarest made an impression on Joiner during the early evaluation period.
"I like NC State's Defensive Backs Coach. He came by my school during the recruiting period and he was cool. He was an easy going guy who I could just talk to. They are also a good team and although I haven't followed them much I do hear about them alot."
Don't look for Tony to decide early because he wants to take all visits before deciding.
"Yes sir, I'm going to use all of my visits and will announce on Signing Day. I just want to see who all offers me and make the best decision that I can."
