Taylor has seen his stock rise after the Shrine Bowl combine (where he turned in a sub-4.5 40) and attending a few local college camps. Now some major programs are involved in his recruitment.
"I like Virginia Tech, [North] Carolina, [NC] State, South Carolina, Clemson, ECU, and Tennessee. UNC and South Carolina have given me written offers and the others I have verbal offers from. I don't have a favorite either... I like them all about the same."
Hilee camped with the Wolfpack this spring and he had a chance to tour their new facilities.
"Yes sir, I did and they are nice. I did good at the State camp and I ran a 4.5 40. Coach Williams is my recruiting coach and they like me as a linebacker. I like the school a whole lot and I like their defense. They are going to have a good defense this year."
Since the Wolfpack haven't extended an official offer, will it hurt their chances with Taylor?
"Well, it's a factor but I don't think it's that big of one."
Hilee also noted that he liked the academic programs at North Carolina and the overall "school" at Virginia Tech.
"Yes sir, I like the school at Virginia Tech, but I haven't seen it yet in person so hopefully this week's visit will go good."
Look for Hilee to decide soon, possibly after his Tennessee visit.
"Yes sir, I may be ready to choose in a couple of weeks after that visit. I'm hoping to commit before my first game (Aug. 23) and I should be ready after going to Virginia Tech and Tennessee."
