NOTES: Underwood Stays Hot

COLLEGE PARK, MD -- Bryan Underwood now has a touchdown catch in all seven games this season.

• NC State snapped a streak of 16 consecutive road losses to ACC Atlantic Division opponents. Division play started in 2004, and NC State is now 3-19 in road games against its own division rivals. Other wins were 2004 at Maryland and 2005 at Florida State.

• Sophomore PK Niklas Sade booted a pair of field goals on the day, including the gamewinner from 43-yards out with 32 seconds left. Sade's gamewinner is the Pack's first since Steven Hauschka booted one at Miami in 2007 in OT for the win. After starting the season 2-of-5 on field goals, Sade has been a perfect 5-of-5 over the last four games.

• Junior CB David Amerson recorded his 17th career INT in the second quarter, fourth of the season. Amerson moves into sole possesion of first place in the NC State record books for most career INTs, and is also has the most career INTs in the NCAA among active players.

• NC State improved to 11-2 with Amerson records an INT.

• WR Bryan Underwood extended his own school record with his seventh straight game with a TD catch, as he hauled in a 68-yard pass from QB Mike Glennon in the third quarter to answer Maryland's first touchdown of the game.

• Underwood also finished with a career-best 134 yards receiving on the day.

• In the first quarter, Maryland won the time of possession battle a whopping 10:23-4:37. NC State managed just 18 yards on 12 plays in the first quarter, compared to Maryland's 106 yards on 22 plays. NC State QB Mike Glennon was just 2-of-7 for 1 yard in the first 15 minutes.

• State responded on its first drive of the second quarter, going 75 yards in 5 plays for the game's first touchdown. Glennon was 3-of-3 for 71 yards on the drive.

• NC State's first touchdown was a 25-yard pass from Glennon to fullback Logan Winkles. The TD reception was the first of Winkles' career, and just his fourth career catch in 16 games overall.

• Glennon finished with 307 yards passing, his 5th career game over 300 yards. Glennon is now thid all-time in most career 300-yard passing games at NC State.

• Junior Rob Crisp returned to the Pack's starting lineup for the first time since the season opener. He had missed the last 5 games with a lower back injury.

• With Crisp returning to start at LT, the Pack started its fifth different offensive line combo in the seven games this year. Crisp was at LT, R.J. Mattes moved in to LG, Cam Wentz again started at C, Duran Chrsitophe started at RG, and Tyson Chandler was at RT.

• The NC State defense once again pitched a shutout in the second quarter, as the Pack has given up only 13 points in the second quarter all season, all last week in the win over Florida State.

• Earl Wolff's forced fumble in the fourth quarter was his first of the season, and eighth of his career.
