PC: Bishop, Creecy Meet The Media

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Brandan Bishop and Tony Creecy met with the media to discuss Saturday's game against Wake Forest.

Brandan Bishop

"Coach always tells us, you're never as good as people say you are but you're never as bad as people say you are. All we can do is focus on ourselves and try to focus on getting better."

"We've beaten FSU, we know what we're capable of. It's just an issue of figuring out how to execute better. It was embarrassing this weekend. We don't want to disappoint our fans base or our school anymore."

"It was separate bad play. North Carolina was disappointing but we regrouped and refocused. We're not going to quit, we're not going to give up."

"We need to win one first. Wake Forest is a good squad, so we've got our hands full this week."

"Wake Forest has always given us some trouble. They spread it out and do some things that teams have already done this year. Throw it on the perimeter and then try to run. We're going to have a good week of practice and get back on track."

"Michael Campanaro has had a lot of success. He's on the same page with that quarterback, they feed him the ball. He catches the ball and makes moves. He's dangerous."

It's never a good thing when you have a guy that is that much of a threat We're going to see one every week, he's just the next one on the list. He's talented, but we've got to figure out a way to slow him down."

"It's frustrating when we continue to let those type of plays work against us. It's out there that teams are going to try something early. If we continue to let them have success it's going to continue to happen early in games."

"Wake has been known to do some tricky stuff, so I'm sure we'll see it this week. I'd actually guarantee it."

"I'm going to continue to try and lead the guys and get us going in the right direction. I know what we're capable of, and with a better effort this weekend we can get back on track and finish strong."

Tony Creecy

"We really have to ignore outside influences right now because coming off a loss like that people will have a lot to say. We have to stick together as a family, as a football team, and just block out what everyone has to say and come out prepared to work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday."

"After you beat somebody like FSU everyone is going to think you're the best, but when you lose they think you're the worst. We just have to stay together as a team."

"We definitely have to pick it up in the running game. Missing Zach Allen is part of it, but it can't be the only thing. Zach Allen was a great blocker and we have other great blockers. I have to pick it up more, do better on my reads and run the ball tougher."

"Right now, it's get this win. We have to work hard, get back to the drawing board and do the little things that will stack on top of each other and turn into bigger things which is going to turn into a win."

"It's still positive, because we have a lot more football to play and we have a lot to look forward to if we get one more win. It's still a positive outlook on things."

"We came out against Boston College flat, as if we didn't have a game. The next week we came out fired up against Clemson. Coach O'Brien is going to get us ready play, we have to get ourselves ready to play and we have to come out and play a great game against Wake Forest."
