PC: Dowdy, Wentz Meet The Media

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State's Rickey Dowdy and Camden Wentz met with the media to discuss Boston College.

Rickey Dowdy

"Boyd is a great athlete. He scans the defense, he read plays well and he dropped some pounds last year so it made more versatile and a little faster. He's just a great athlete."

"Clemson's offense is probably the best. They know how to get their playmakers the ball and they made plays. All of those guys are great athletes, they can run, catch, pass. They find a way to get them the ball and they make plays."

"Yeah, offense and defense was tired. It was a fast-paced game, very intense, but we gave it all we had."

"Being a defensive player is tough, but Saturday our offense came to play and we didn't come to play. We have to help those guys out. We needed them to score, that's what they did, we just have to stop the other team from scoring."

"Boston College is a physical team, tough. They are going to come at you with all they have. They have nothing to lose, we have nothing to lose, so it should be a pretty good game."

"You want to send your seniors out with a bang. You want to help those guys get that win. That is probably the worst feeling in the world, to go out on senior night and lose, so we're going to do what we can to help those guys make sure they get the victory."

"We always want to finish over .500, so we know we have another game left so we're going to come out and play hard, play fast, like we do every game. Just because we've lost we're not going to put our heads down. We're going to keep our heads high and continue to play."

Camden Wentz

"As it gets closer, it's becoming more and more real that it is the last time I'll play in that stadium. I'm sure it will become a little more emotional when it's finally said and done than beforehand."

"We definitely left a lot of opportunities out on the field that if we had been able to accomplish, the game might have been different. That game is now in the past. We're going to work hard to make sure we have a winning season this year and go out with a win."

"Mike Glennon is obviously the best quarterback in the country in my opinion. I'm slightly biased, I don't know what scouts look for in quarterbacks, but from what I can see he has everything that I would want in a quarterback. I would definitely agree that he has a shot to be the first guy."

"Shadrach runs really hard, we see it on the field. He plays with a passion that guys want to block for. The sky is the limit for him, and I'm glad he's on our side and I get the opportunity to block for him. This week he wrote a note on the board in our meeting room that said he was going to make cookies, but I don't know how that is going to turn out."

"It's going to be very physical. You turn on the film and you see a bunch of big, strong guys in the front seven. We're going to have our work cut out. It's going to be a fight in the middle with who can win the line of scrimmage, that's probably going to be the most important thing."

"If you just turn on the film and watch them, my first impression is that this team is not as bad as their record would indicate. They are a good football team that has played a lot of close games and hasn't had some things go their way. They are definitely a good football team that is very disciplined. We're going to get their best shot this weekend."
