Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several Wolfpack players met with the media following the Pack's win over UNC Asheville on Friday night at PNC Arena.

Scott Wood

"A lot of it is just energy, they came out and just took it to us. The played a really good game, I feel like us as a unit, we didn't come out and play like we needed to."

"They are a good team, but when you play someone in the top teams in the ACC that isn't going to get it done. We just have to come together as a unit, continue to work hard, and we'll be alright."

Tyler Lewis

"We just try to go out and play hard and earn our spot and earn our playing time. The veterans earned their playing time last year and they are trying to live up to that hype from last year. We're just trying to come here and provide what's best for the team."

"I think the freshmen do provide a lot of energy to the team while we're out there. Hopefully we can provide more energy."

"We just have to take better care of the ball. It's just early in the season and you're going to make mistakes running the play."

Richard Howell

"Going into Michigan, we have to come out with a lot more heart, a lot more energy, a lot more fire than that."

"Honestly, at the beginning of the season we didn't have (a leader). I felt like everyone could step up and speak their mind. As we're getting more into the season I feel like we do need a leader and I'm starting to build a leadership role and talk about that with coach and build my leadership skills up."

"Leadership is one of the biggest things, because we get our heads down and they stay down. There is no one there to pick us up. I take blame on that. I'm definitely going to step up and take a bigger leadership role."

Lorenzo Brown

"Throughout the whole game Richard was pushing us. He got us motivated and came out in the second half and played better, a little bit."

"I hope everyone sees now that we can be beat by anybody. It's not that one team this year that is just dominating."

"We're just focusing on not turning the ball over so much that it's happening."

"Coach warned up about Atkinson. They played a good game."
