Quick Six With Dave Amerson

NC State junior cornerback David Amerson talks with Pack Pride about the coaching change, the bowl game, and his future at NC State.

Do you have something to prove in the bowl game?
Yes sir. We've got something to prove every game. We didn't reach our all-time goal going to the ACC (championship game). So, we definitely want to end this game with a bang.

Where were you when you heard about the coaching change?
I was in my room. I actually saw it on twitter.

How surprised were you? Did it blindside you?
Oh yeah. I definitely didn't see it coming. But at the same time, this is a business and decisions are made. I'm not in charge of that so I just go on with it.

What have been your early impressions of Coach Doeren?
He's definitely a high-energy guy and he's had a lot of success at the schools he's been to before. I think he'll be good.

Are you still thinking of leaving for the NFL after the bowl game?
Oh we'll see. Right now, I'm just worried about the bowl game and putting everything I've got into it. The decision will be made after that.

Are there a few new wrinkles being added in defensively for the bowl game?
Oh yeah. I think the coaches are adding in some things they probably wanted to add. So, it should definitely be good for us.
