Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the Wolfpack's 84-68 win over Western Michigan.

Scott Wood

"[Richard] came out with great energy, he was rebounding. We wanted to pound it inside, and he just did a good job of getting good shots for him and knocking them down."

"I know he wanted to bound back and play well."

"They were doing a good job, but we weren't ready, in a defensive stance... once we decided to get in a stance and really take away what they wanted to do we created a margin."

"We wanted to pressure them a little more."

Lorenzo Brown

"He's always been like that ever since I've been here. It helps a lot of guys and gets guys focused when he talks because look at him, he's a big guy. You don't want to disappoint him."

"I took it upon myself to play better defense."

"If I don't score I like to play a lot better defense."

"Coach warned us that they were going to play a little more physical than any team we've played against."

T.J. Warren

"It's a good feeling for me."

"I just want to come in and show what I can do."

"Coming off the bench, it feels like I'm more hungry to come in and do my thing, but if I'm starting I'm going to have the same mentality regardless."

"I know I'm going to play so I just want to get out there and feel comfortable and let the game come to me."

C.J. Leslie

"I just wasn't playing to the level I had to play to to win this game so I had to pick it up."

"Rich is a great player. Great players bounce back... I knew Rich was going to come out and play strong."

"We're just focusing on winning every game."
