Recruiting Scene: Wright flew almost completely under the recruiting radar. He received interest from a number of smaller schools but NC State head coach Dave Doeren had offered Wright while still at Northern Illinois.

Doeren honored that offer at NC State as well and Wright joined teammate Sean Paul in committing to the Wolfpack during their official visit in January.

Why NC State? "The big thing was the players made us feel like we were a part of the team. That stood out a lot to me, that and the family atmosphere. My player host was Jarvis Byrd... he was a nice, cool dude. He's also from Florida and he told us to make the best decision that we could make... go where we were comfortable. He showed us a great time."

Picked NC State Over: offers from Northern Illinois, Troy, Ohio, Bethune-Cookman, Appalachian State and Middle Tennessee State

Scouting Report: This prospect is a sleeper on the recruiting trail. We feel Wright is falling under the BCS radar as teams may be overlooking his size and speed measurables on paper. Shorter frame without a lot of length but muscular and well-built with good pop and deceptive explosion on contact. Very feisty out on the perimeter and plays bigger and faster than measurables may suggest. Active, instinctive and aggressive on both underneath run and pass support. - ESPN
