NOTES: Warren On Fire

Here are some postgame notes from NC State's 81-66 win over Wake Forest in PNC Arena.

  • Freshman T.J. Warren extended his double-­figure scoring streak to six games with 15 points against Wake Forest.

  • Freshman Rodney Purvis hit three 3-­-pointers for the fifth time this season, going 3-­for-­4 from beyond the arc.

  • Junior C.J. Leslie had 19 points and 10 rebounds for his ninth double-double of the season.

    The Pack now has an ACC-leading 33 double-­doubles as a team.

  • Senior Scott Wood converted a four-­point play in the first half, getting fouled on a fade away 3-­pointer.

    He is now tied with Duke's Jason Williams for eighth on the ACC's career list with 314 threes.

    He is nine behind NC State career scoring leader Rodney Monroe for the school record of 323. Senior

  • Richard Howell had five rebounds versus Wake Forest.

    He now needs four boards against Florida State to reach 1,000 in his Wolfpack career.

  • Senior Jay Lewis, in his final home game at PNC Arena, made his second 3-­-point basket of the season.

    NC State is now 2-0 at home on senior night under Mark Gottfried and 4-0 when factoring in opponents' senior days/nights.

  • Last year, the Pack posted a 77-­73 win over Miami in its home finale before closing out the regular season with a 70-­58 win at Virginia Tech on the Hokies' senior day.

  • This past Sunday, State recorded a 70-­57 win at Georgia Tech on the Yellow Jackets' senior night.

    It will have another opportunity to record a senior day win this coming Saturday when it closes the regular season at Florida State.

  • The Pack earned its 16th home win (16-­1) Wednesday, the most since posting a 17-­3 record during the 1999-­2000 season its first year playing in PNC Arena.

  • NC State's 8-­1 record in ACC home games is the most conference wins with one loss since the Pack went 7-­1 in league play during the 1990-­91 season.

  • The Wolfpack's 11 wins in ACC play is the most since the 2003-­04 team went 11-­5 in conference play.

    With one regular-season game remaining at Florida State in the new 18-­game conference format, the Pack can tie the school record of 12 regular-­season wins in the ACC, matching the totals in 1954-­55 (12-­2), 1958-­59 (12-­2), 1972-­73 (12-­0) and 1973-­74 (12-­0).
