Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Several NC State players met with the media following the 80-63 win over Virginia Tech.

C.J. Leslie

"The season before now... it's a new season now."

"What happened before this, I'm not even worried about it."

"Just come in and play good... just believe that we can win this tournament. That's what we have to instill in ourselves."

"It's going to be a very physical game. The last game I was sick. I look forward to playing a lot better."

"I didn't even know if I was going to play that game."

"That's our main focus now, defense, defense, defense."

"We know we needed to get this game. We needed to come in and play hard."

Lorenzo Brown

"They told me people were saying I couldn't play good defense. It was kind of good that we were playing Virginia Tech tonight because they have the leading scorer."

"It was the perfect time to try and contain him the best that I could."

"He's about the same height as me, and I can kind of read his moves a lot. I tried to do as best as I could, and my guys did a great job of helping me with screens."

"I really wasn't worried about what people were saying at the beginning of the year. It's all about how you finish."

"[A good friend] said people said I couldn't play defense. He knows I can play defense."

Tyler Lewis

"I'm good. I just bumped knees with a guy."

"I tried to walk it off for a little bit."

"I give a lot of credit to Lorenzo. He played great on him. He contained him very well. It was great team defense, but you have to give a lot of credit to Lorenzo."

"Once he got past Zo we wanted to make somebody else beat us."

Richard Howell

"Tomorrow is the next day."

"We were sharp, but we definitely weren't sharp enough."

"I just want to go out and win ballgames."

"They got away with one up there. We feel like if we go up there and take care of business with Lorenzo here."

"He's definitely getting better. I wouldn't say he's 100%, but he's definitely getting there."

"It's one game at a time. You can't look ahead... we didn't want to look ahead to Virginia or who we play next."
