Wolfpack Season: High Hopes Unfulfilled?
Our Wolfpack finished the season with 24 wins and eleven of them were against ACC opponents. We had the early departure to the NBA draft by Lorenzo Brown and Calvin Leslie.

Also, the expected but still disheartening senior goodbyes from Scott Wood and Rich Howell... not to mention keeping our coaching staff intact.

By almost all accounts I would say this season was a success... an anchor for future glory.

2012 in it's entirety and making the tournament again in 2013 will be the cornerstone for a program on the rise, right?

With that being said, as I write this I feel like I've been cheated. I feel like we underachieved. I feel like I want to forget about this past season and look ahead.

So that's what I'm going to do.

Things I Won't Talk About: There Is Not A Place For It
I won't talk about Rodney Purvis transferring and how I wasn't made aware of the situation until it was too late.

I won't talk about him leaving State when next season could have been his breakout season.

I won't talk about how every kid's parent think their kid is one-and-done.

I won't talk about how I feel with a great summer and capitalizing on the time when a player's growth as a collegiate is at its highest curve (the summer between freshman and sophomore year) he could have really excelled.

I won't talk about how I wish him the best, and I can't wait to see him reach his full potential.

Those are a few things I won't talk about in this column because there is no place for it.

What's Next?
The multi-talented T.J. Warren, T.J. Warren, and more T.J. WARREN!!!

Tyler "this is my spot" Lewis. We've all seen this season what Tyler can bring to the table with extended minutes.

Freshman point guard Cat "I'm gunning for your spot" Barber.

My dark horse? Ralston Turner!

Freshman bigs BeeJay Anya and Kyle Washington will have to come in and make an immediate impact in the low post along with Jordan Vandenburg.

We will have a very young team, but I'm looking forward to seeing our guys ball.

Good luck to all the guys moving on and lets make the 2013-14 season one to remember.

Parting Shots

You can sign your kids up (Ages 6-15) at camp24hodge.com. I hope to see you all there.

Go Pack!
