RALEIGH, N.C. -- Sophomore point guard Tyler Lewis met with the media following the Wolfpack's awards banquet.

"I'm excited."

"Losing five players... it's going to be difficult, but at the same time I feel like we have enough coming in and with me, T.J., Ralston, and Jordan coming back, I feel like we can make a big impact next season."

"There is more discipline. Everybody is working harder than we did last season. I think last year we just kind of relied on our talent too much instead of coming out and practicing hard everyday."

"I think we're going to shock a lot of people. Just the workouts... Ralston is going to be a great player for us, and T.J. Warren is going to be one of the best players in the ACC next year."

"With Cat coming in, it's going to be a good addition in the backcourt, and then with Dez Lee, BeeJay, and Washington coming in we should be in pretty good shape."

"We're definitely taking it as a challenge. This year we had all the expectations and we didn't live up to them, I didn't think so."

"People may doubt me, there is going to be a battle everyday in practice. I feel like if I go out there and play my best everyday.. I feel like I can lead the team next year."

"I gained a lot of confidence in those two games and I showed a lot of people I can play in this league. I knew I could have if I just got the opportunity. I feel like I got the opportunity and took advantage of it."

"Coach Gottfried has been very good working with every player, trying to get us better. He feels like we can be as good next year as we were this year. He's very confident in us."

"He can do it because he's one of the best scorers in the country. I have confidence in him and he has confidence in me. I think we play well together. It's been showing in workouts. Hopefully we take it to the court next year and do the same thing."

"Most likely I'm coming back. Probably I'm coming back."

"It feels good, knowing I have a lot of fans here and a lot of people pulling for me."

"I look bigger, I feel bigger. I've gained around 10 pounds, up to about 169. It's good... I've been in the weight room four times a week."

"I definitely can be on the court at the same time as Cat. It can never hurt having two ballhandlers in the game at the same time. Cat's a good player in the backcourt, a really good point guard. I think we can compliment one another well next year."
