RELEASE: Pack Announces Freeman Signing

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State head coach Mark Gottfried has announced the signing of Lennard Freeman during the spring signing period.

"We are very excited about adding Lennard," said Gottfried. "He is the ultimate team player and wants to win. He is 6-8, 235 pounds, and can defend, take charges and rebound.

"He is a player I feel can develop in our system. He has been well coached, and will be a great teammate as well. We can not wait to get him to Raleigh."

Lennard Freeman played his senior season at Oak Hill Academy for coach Steve Smith, and helped the squad to a 29-8 record.

He is a former AAU teammate of fellow signee BeeJay Anya, and both played in the Capital Classic all-star game in April.

The Pack has now added two student-athletes in the spring, as Freeman joins JUCO All-American guard Desmond Lee who signed in mid-April. The duo will join McDonald's All-American Anthony Barber, Kyle Washington, and Anya as newcomers for 2013-14.
