Lacey Sorting Through The Process

Trevor Lacey is still sorting through his college options.

Trevor Lacey, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound guard who attended Alabama the past two seasons, said that he's currently considering North Carolina, North Carolina State, Miami and Pittsburgh as possible transfer options.

North Carolina State is the only school Lacey has officially visited thus far.

"It was pretty good," Lacey said of his trip to the Raleigh campus.

"They have a nice arena," he added. "Their athletic director is pretty cool. I like coach [Mark] Gottfried. I've [known] Coach Gottfried for a long time, so those are the things that stood out."

With one visit down, Lacey is looking to check out the other schools involved. He'd hoped to move speedily through the process, but setting up those visits is on hold. Is UNC working to get him on campus?

"It's the same," he responded of the Tar Heels, who postponed the previously scheduled official visit with Lacey that was set for last week. "We are going to wait until after Memorial Day and we are going to get with some dates."

"Everyone is the same," Lacey added. "It's pretty much on me. It's pretty much get me on campus and we'll go from there."

Lacey said he won't make his choice until after he's able to see the other schools involved.

"I want to take visits to all these schools that I'm considering," he said. "Once I take these visits and then I'll make a decision."
