Wolfpack Visit on the Horizon for Pratt

High Point (NC) Central defensive standout Germaine Pratt will be visiting NC State this week.

High Point (NC) Central safety Germaine Pratt has three visits planned for the next few weeks and NC State will be his first stop.

Pratt will stop off in Raleigh about an hour and a half from his home on Wednesday for an unofficial visit. While he has visited the school before he hasn't been able to get to know the new coaching staff on a very personal level. That's the purpose of this trip and Pratt is looking forward to it.

"I'm supposed to be meeting the head coach and we were going to be discussing some stuff," he explained.

Likely to arise during conversation on Wednesday will be how the Pack coaches plan to use Pratt in their defense. NCSU was recruiting Pratt as a safety at one point but that's not longer the case. He's fine with that but he's also looking forward to hearing more details about what they plan to do to disrupt the offenses they will face in the ACC.

"They're talking about linebacker now. That's fine with me. I don't know what other schools are talking about. Some schools (are saying) safety then linebacker. I really don't know to be honest. I'm fine either way."

Just don't expect Pratt to make a decision this week. He wants to take his official visits and claims no favorites so there's a chance this won't be his last trip to NCSU.

It definitely won't be his last college visit.

Pratt plans to visit one of NCSU's intrastate rivals and then a national powerhouse in the next two weeks.

"I'm supposed to go to Wake Forest on June 2 with my head football coach. I'm supposed to go to Ohio State on June 9. That's going to be a camp. I haven't been talking to them but my defensive backs coach has been talking to them. I haven't been up there yet so I don't have a feel for it yet."

Pratt holds offers from NC State, UNC, Virginia, Notre Dame and Tennessee among others. He is currently rated a three star prospect by Scout.com.

As a junior, Pratt totaled 94 tackles, six interceptions and four pass breakups.

Pack Pride will have more from Pratt after his visit to NC State so stay tuned!
