Kennesaw (GA) North Cobb athlete/quarterback Cameron Albright (6-2, 205 pounds) will be in the state next month and he's planning to work in a trip to Raleigh along with visits to UNC and Wake Forest.
"I'm about 90 or 95% sure I'll be taking a visit to North Carolina on June the 15th. Since I'm going up there with my parents it might be a two day trip or a three day trip. I don't know yet but I want to visit Wake Forest and NC State. If it's only a two day trip I may visit NC State since I haven't been there and of course they have offered."
Assistant Clayton White last spoke with Albright about two weeks ago. That conversation amounted to White trying to convince Albright to visit and given his present desire to take a trip to the campus it seems like he has been successful.
"If I go up there to North Carolina on Saturday then I would go to either NC State or Wake Forest on June 14," Albright said.
Albright has some interest in NC State without knowing too much about the school. He does have at least one connection to the school that is causing him to look beyond the surface.
"I actually had a coach (T.K. Dodd) that played for NC State and they've talked to me about their facilities and stuff like that. I like what I've heard so far. I have a top five you could say. In no order it would be Georgia Tech, NC State, Wake Forest, North Carolina and Florida State. I'm hoping to make a decision sometime this summer. I'm kind of looking at around June 17 or June 19. Sometime around there."
Clearly, Albright's visit to NC State will likely determine the Pack's realistic chances to ultimately land the three-star prospect. They'll probably have some ground to make up as UNC, Georgia Tech and Florida State have consistently been mentioned as Albright's top schools.
