One player that Pack Pride heard quite a bit about heading into the Shrine Bowl Combine at Washington High School was Williamston (NC) Riverside linebacker Daniel Everett.
Measured at 6-3, 212 pounds, the rising senior has the frame to easily play in the 225-230 pound range once he gets to college. Everett posted a solid 4.65-second 40-yard dash and 4.51-second pro shuttle to go along with a 9-6 broad jump and 18 reps on the bench press.
Although he's yet to land his first offer, all the tools appear to be in place for that to happen over the summer. Everett updated Pack Pride on the schools currently showing the most interest.
"Right now I'm hearing from Carolina, NC State, Clemson, Memphis, Richmond and Appalachian State. I haven't picked up any offers yet but I'm going to Wake Forest's camp this week and I think they may be close to offering. They've been talking to me quite a bit.
"NC State, UNC, Richmond and Appalachian State all came by during the spring evaluation period. I worked out for State and Carolina. All of them are telling me I performed really well, they're interested and they want me to come to camp."
Everett has previously visited NC State and behind the scenes, Pack Pride heard that the Wolfpack is a team he has quite a bit of interest in.
"I've visited State and it was pretty good. They have a nice weight room and good facilities. Coach Nielsen is recruiting me and he stays in touch with me. I'm planning to go to NC State's camp this summer but I'm not sure which day."
Once he does start to land offers, Everett knows what he'll be looking for in a future school.
"I'm going to be looking at the education side of it and I want to play for a good program. I'm thinking about majoring in communication or sports management. I don't have any top schools right now. I'm just considering everyone."
