"I've always watched NC State," he stated. "I know about the team, the school, and one of my old teammates, Tony Creecy, is there now."
A productive runner for Southern Durham, Judd failed to qualify academically out of high school so he ended up attending Georgia Military College last fall. The 5-foot-11, 215-pounder had a solid freshman season, rushing for 463 yards and five touchdowns on 71 carries (6.5 yards per carry}.
"I sprained my ankle and was out for three games, but I ended up having a good season," he said.
Judd already holds several high-major scholarship offers.
"Right now I have offers from Mississippi, Tennessee, Auburn, Marshall, Louisville, Utah State, Arizona State, Troy, and Cincinnati," said Judd.
He stated that NC State has been showing interest, and this week he was on campus for a visit.
"NC State has been showing me a lot of interest," said Judd. "I went there with my teammate, LeGrande Harley, and they are on him real hard.
"I got to talk with the running backs coach, coach Kitchings. He told me they weren't really looking for a junior college running back, but if a player was to quit or something he said I might could get an offer so not to overlook them.
"I really liked it there. I think they are going to do big things in the ACC with the new coaching staff."
Judd has now taken visit to NC State and Ole Miss (June 1st). He said that he'll be visiting Tennessee on Friday.
A potential December graduate, Judd hopes to make an early decision.
"I could do it anytime," he said. "I want to have it done before my season if I can. I'm looking for the best fit."
