Bowens Planning to Camp at NC State

Port Saint Lucie (FL) defensive standout Sean Bowens plans to camp at NC State in the very near future. Could that pave the way for a potential commitment?

Port Saint Lucie (FL) Treasure Coast High School DE/LB Sean Bowens has been listing NC State at the top of his list for weeks and he's set to visit the school for the first time.

Though he did not have a date immediately on hand Bowens told Pack Pride that he plans to visit NC State in one week.

"We're going to be going all over the place and that's one place we'll go. Probably some of the places that offered me for camps. Some of the places I'm most interested in like Michigan State.

"NC State is going to be a visit but I think I'm going to the camp too. Probably both."

Richard McNutt is Bowens main contact from NCSU and the two speak on a biweekly basis.

"I like the competition at NC State. You know they're in the ACC and everything so they play Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina and all these really good teams."

Bowens has had NC State at the top of his favorite's list for while. There was even a report that he had committed to the Pack a couple of weeks back although that story proved to be wrong. While the Wolfpack appears to be in good shape, Bowens is receiving interest from additional schools and particularly from on in-state program.

"South Florida is super interested in me," he said.

Bowens (6-2, 215 pounds) said regardless of whether he is committed to a school or not he plans to take some official visits.
