Vitals: 6'4/190

Notes: NC State landed a commitment this week from Hope Mills (NC) Gray's Creek standout Jefferie Gibson. The three-star prospect announced his decision on Twitter.

Gibson picked the Wolfpack over offers from North Carolina, Clemson, and East Carolina among others.

As a junior, the 6-foot-4, 190-pounder lined up at wide receiver and safety, where he totaled 70 tackles and four interceptions.

He is being recruited to play wide receiver by the Wolfpack.

"I enjoy playing offense," he said. "They have a plan for me playing offense at Sate and I think they need me there. But, they did say that if I get up there and don't like playing offense I can go back to defense."

"Gibson's main role in high school has been on the defensive side of the ball," said Scout.com Recruiting Analyst Michael Clark. "However, he will play wide receiver when he gets to Raleigh.

"Gibson is a long, fluid athlete with a big upside. He shows good concentration and soft hands. He must continue to add weight and get stronger, but could develop into a major weapon for the Wolfpack's passing game, especially in the red zone.
