Notes: NC State has landed a commitment from Wilson (NC) Hunt linebacker Dexter Wright. He committed to the Wolfpack coaches while on campus for a camp on Thursday.

"I felt like I wanted to go ahead and do it," said Wright. "I knew it after I first started working out at camp. I went over to my dad at the first break and told him this was where I wanted to call home.

"It felt great to tell the coaches. I could tell they all were excited about me going to [NC] State."

As a junior, the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder recorded 89 tackles (67 solo), three interceptions, one forced fumble, and five pass deflections while playing safety for Hunt High School.

He held offers from NC State, UNC, and ECU. Wright previously named NC State his leader.

"I just really like the school, and I really have connected with the coaches," he said. "That's something that I'm looking for, and I really have a connection with them.

"They were the first school to ever recruit me, and I've always had them high up on my list. Being able to visit them recently has definitely put them ahead of the pack."
