Nolan Kelleher is graduating early from Wando (SC) Mount Pleasant so he's hoping to make a decision before too long so he can enjoy his last months of high school.
Eight schools are still in play and Kelleher is planning to announce his decision between the end of the summer and the first few weeks of his senior season.
"I've narrowed it down to about eight. Basically it's four SEC and four ACC. Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and USC and then Florida State, NC State, Clemson and Georgia Tech."
He has been to Tennessee and Georgia this summer and he's still planning to make it to Clemson, South Carolina, Florida and NC State before school starts back up. The 6-5, 296-pound lineman has been to NC State once before. That was for the Pack's last home football game against Virginia.
"Oh it was awesome. I really liked it there. It was really electric. The student section was just fanatical about everything. They started chanting my name which was ridiculous. Nothing like that has ever happened," he said.
"I also like that they have such a good engineering program and I believe it's an up and coming school. I feel like their team's going to be good this year. I just like the way the program is run and I want to see the dynamics of the new coaching staff. I've been up there once before and I'm ready to see how it is with the new staff."
Kelleher holds close to two dozen scholarship offers including NC State, Clemson, Tennessee, West Virginia, Georgia and others. He is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 29 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com
