Brendan Brosnan is starting to get an idea for which schools he likes and he could be ready to make a decision soon.
Fresh off trips to Vanderbilt, Illinois, Syracuse, Boston College and Wisconsin the Park Ridge (IL) Maine South lineman isn't ready to settle down and announce his choice yet. But he will not be waiting much longer to do just that.
"I have one trip left. (This coming) weekend I'm heading out east to see NC State, Virginia Tech and Maryland. So far all of the trips have been good. Nothing has really stood out over the others yet. They were all really impressive, so all of those schools are still in it."
Brosnan said he would like to make his decision within the next month which would mean he will be off the board by mid-August, before his season starts.
"That would be ideal so I can focus on my season and just worry about football," he said.
He does not know as much about NC State as he would like to but that's the reason for the trip. Because NCSU is not as close to home as some others like Illinois, Wisconsin or even Vanderbilt, this trip will be important. In fact it may be the sole factor that determines whether the Pack has a chance.
"Right now I'm just doing more research on them and building and developing a relationship with the coaches. It's a great school and they have great coaches. It seems like there's great camaraderie and I'm really excited to come visit. I've been talking to Coach Uremovich. He's good. I've been talking to him and he's a good guy."
Brosnan is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 44 offensive tackle in the nation by Scout.com
